Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy served as the 9th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh two times in 1983 and from 1992 to 1994.
He belonged to Indian National Congress. He was elected as the member of Lok Sabha six times, in the years 1922, 1984, 1989, 1991, 1996 and 1998. He served as the Union Cabinet Minister and member of many parliamentary committees.
After his defeat in the 1999 elections, he retired from politics.
Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy was born on 16th August 1920 in Amakathadu, Laddagiri Villaga in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh.
