Götz Otto Biography
Götz Otto is a talented German film and television actor born on October 15th, 1967. He started his acting career in 1992 with a role in the German comedy Little Sharks, and quickly followed it up with roles in Dann eben mit Gewalt (TV) and Hochwürdenerbt das Paradies in 1993.
However, it was that same year that he landed a pivotal role in Steven Spielberg’s critically acclaimed film Schindler’s List, playing an SS guard. Other smaller roles in mostly German films followed.
In 1997, Götz Otto reached the height of his career when he played the henchman Richard Stamper in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies.
His big break came when he introduced himself to the casting director in five seconds, saying “I’m big, I’m bad, and I’m German.” His portrayal of the villain Elliot Carver‘s assistant won him critical acclaim and a legion of Bond fans.
